A summary

Our Performing Arts HAF programme offers fun, inclusive, and engaging creative sessions for children and young people during the school holidays. The activity combines elements of dance, drama, movement, and creative expression, creating a safe and supportive space where participants can build confidence, make friends, and enjoy being active. Sessions are designed to be accessible to all abilities and backgrounds. Young people take part in warm-ups, creative games, group activities, and short performance-based tasks that encourage teamwork, communication, and self-expression. The focus is on enjoyment and participation rather than performance pressure, helping children feel comfortable trying new things and expressing themselves creatively.

CHRISTINA MARKS SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS

The programme supports children’s wellbeing by providing structured, positive holiday activities that promote physical movement, emotional expression, and social connection. Taking part in performing arts can help develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging, particularly for children who may benefit from extra support or who have limited access to creative opportunities outside of school. As part of the HAF programme, each session also includes a healthy meal or snack, helping to support good nutrition alongside physical and creative activity. Staff and facilitators are experienced in working with children and young people and ensure sessions are safe, inclusive, and welcoming. Activities are adapted to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities, and reasonable adjustments are made to support children with additional needs.
