A summary

Changing the Future is excited to offer a calm, fun, and sensory-friendly visit to Spencers Retreat Farm for children and young people aged 5–16 years as part of our HAF programme. This exciting and inclusive farm experience has been carefully designed to support children, including those with SEND, by providing a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment where they can relax, explore, socialise, and enjoy new experiences at their own pace.

Set within a peaceful outdoor environment, Spencers Retreat Farm offers a fantastic range of engaging activities and sensory experiences for children to enjoy throughout the day. Children will have the opportunity to meet friendly farm animals, explore nature, and take part in a variety of fun and interactive activities designed to support wellbeing, confidence, communication, and play.

The session will include access to:
• Friendly farm animals and outdoor exploration
• Sandpits for creative and sensory play
• A trampoline for active fun and movement
• Soft play areas for safe indoor play and social interaction
• A calming sensory space to support relaxation and regulation
• Gentle group activities and friendship-building opportunities

At Changing the Future, we understand that every child is unique. Our caring and experienced staff are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged to participate in ways that feel comfortable for them. We aim to reduce anxiety, promote emotional wellbeing, and provide positive experiences that help children build confidence and independence.

Changing The Future

Changing The Future was founded as a response to the real life lived experiences of the founder and managing director. The company is based upon supporting young people through their journey; raising aspirations and specialising in services for individuals who have experienced difficulties or trauma within their life. By offering specialist training to professionals members of the community offering alternative perspectives through the eyes of our youth mentors. Changing The Future offers a safe place; early help support and advocacy for individuals to be able to develop the mechanisms and skills needed in order to overcome personal difficulties and barriers.
