Location: Set within an ancient woodland upon a period Celtic Iron Age fort.
Discover the chalk hill figures of the rolling hills of Britain...
Majestic forms carved into the landscapes by our ancestors for all to see.
You will explore the hill chalk figures and recreate one of the images onto copper sheet through the art of repoussé, creating a tile to adorn your hearth and home.
Tutor, Simon will guide you step by step to bring these chalk figures to life in 3D form, so no experience is necessary. Using techniques of the first metalsmiths you will beat out by hammer & hand, finish and polish.
These may fit within tile arrangements in your bathroom, kitchen or even be framed to hang about the house.
