A one day introductory course into early Celtic metal artworks.
Inspired by the Celts' imagination, style, and skill, Simon; expert craft-smith will guide students to master the art of cold metal chasing to produce detailed jewellery like that from the golden age
of the Iron Age period.
» Unearth the fine craftsmanship created by ancient Britons, Gaulish and Celtic Smiths.
» Learn to use Bronze Age – Iron Age
techniques with hand forged primitive tools.
» Explore basic early Celtic art and patterns.
» Design your own individual art inspired by Europe’s native ancestors.
» Create a hand-crafted bangle; a functional, practical artefact to wear and treasure.
» Discover a therapeutic medium, all the while embracing the healing energies and grounding
properties of working with copper.
