What we'll do
When you join us at our club you will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of books. I love to read books and enjoy sharing stories with others, at this club I would like you to do the same. Bring along a book you are reading and share mine. I hope we can build a list of recommendations we can share! We will also spend time exploring english and phonics through activities and games. A great opportunity to improve spelling and word knowledge,. Whether you are a confident reader or just starting out, this club is for you! The more you read, the more you will learn and your confidence grow.

About your mentor
Mrs Lloyd
Teaching Assistant,Church Cowley St James
I joined Church Cowley St James as a Teaching Assistant in September 2025. I have worked with children in many different roles for more than 20 years and really love to support their learning. I have worked in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. I have always enjoyed English and have taken part in lots of different training to support phonics and reading. Outside of school, I am a Beaver Scout Leader at 28th Oxford working with children between the ages of 6-8.
