I love to read books and enjoy sharing stories with others, at this club I would like you to do the same. Bring along a book you are reading and share mine. I hope we can build a list of recommendations we can share!
We will also spend time exploring english and phonics through activities and games. A great opportunity to improve spelling and word knowledge,.
Whether you are a confident reader or just starting out, this club is for you! The more you read, the more you will learn and your confidence grow.

I joined Church Cowley St James as a Teaching Assistant in September 2025. I have worked with children in many different roles for more than 20 years and really love to support their learning. I have worked in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. I have always enjoyed English and have taken part in lots of different training to support phonics and reading. Outside of school, I am a Beaver Scout Leader at 28th Oxford working with children between the ages of 6-8.
