A summary
At CCSJ Music Club, we will explore musical concepts like pulse, rhythm, dynamics and tempo using our voices, our bodies and a variety of instruments. We will learn familiar songs and compose our own! Using a wide range of musical genres for inspiration, we will learn the art of improvisation (making it up as we go) and composition (planning a melody and rhythm to be played the same way each time). We may even try our hand at writing song lyrics working out arrangements for songs that we are interested in playing.

I am a local parent and primary school music teacher. I recently moved to Oxford in 2025 and I currently run weekly music classes for children under 5 as Little Birds Music. I love to sing, play piano, ukulele, drums and dance! I am excited to start a new music club at CCSJ for Reception and KS1.
