A summary
We know the Centre can be loud and overwhelming for some, but we also believe that everyone should have the opportunity to visit the library. Therefore, we've put a plan together to give everyone the chance to enjoy the library in a quiet, private way. You can book a slot as a family or as a group, and enjoy our library play space all to yourselves. We have personalised social stories, sensory equipment and video tours available too!
There will be SEND experienced staff onsite if you fancy a chat, or you can opt to just have the family time!
This session is free of charge and you're more than welcome to bring snack, drinks and comforts along with you.

North Birkenhead Development Trust are a charity, who run the St James Centre - a multi purpose community centre in North Birkenhead, Wirral. Since 2004 we have run a busy activity program, from adult education, kids clubs, foodbank, and day trips, for all ages - from cradle to grave. We're also home to a Community Cafe, a local Library, Miriam Day Nursery, as well as being home to other voluntary sector organisations, and spaces for meetings and catch ups.
