A summary
Come and join us at the Kindle Centre for a tasty day making all the components of a Mexican burrito then have lots of fun building and eating your own burrito extravaganza! Together we'll be making beef and veggie chillies, refried beans, non-spicy rice, tasty fresh salads, guacamole and tomato salsa. For pudding it's homemade super-fruity ice pops - design and make your own. We are cooking with as many ingredients from our Southside Farm as possible and we'll cook everything from scratch. There'll be healthy snacks and a break from all the action midway to power you on. Design your own placemat in the arts and crafts area. This is a family cook workshop. Under 8s MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by an adult parent or carer. 8s and overs can be unaccompanied - but you are also welcome to stay. One FREE adult place available per family.

Growing Local is a community interest company that encourages and educates communities to grow, cook and eat local food. Most of our sessions run from Southside Farm, on the southern edge of Hereford, where we have a children's educational garden and field kitchen. We also grow veg for a veg box scheme and for local shops and businesses. We work with schools and communities delivering educational programmes and events in sustainable food growing, nature, crafting, cooking and more.
