About your mentor
0161 Education CIC
Building Futures. Unlocking Potential.
At 0161 Education, we create a friendly, safe and supportive environment where children can stay active, have fun and build confidence. Using sport and physical activity as our main focus, we help young people develop teamwork, resilience and positive habits. Our team are from Greater Manchester and understand the communities we work in. We aim to provide positive opportunities where children feel encouraged, supported and able to enjoy new experiences. We work closely with schools, families and local partners to ensure our activities are inclusive and accessible for all children. Every session is designed to be engaging, supportive and focused on helping young people grow in confidence while enjoying being active.
What a Typical Day May Look Like
Each day will follow a flexible structure designed to keep young people active, engaged and supported. The day may begin with a welcome, introductions and a warm-up activity to get everyone moving. Throughout the day, participants may take part in a mix of football activities, boxing or martial arts-based sessions, and age-appropriate fitness exercises. There will also be opportunities for gym-style workouts such as circuits, bodyweight exercises or light weights, alongside team games and group challenges. Regular breaks will be included for food, rest and social time. Activities may vary depending on the group, weather and interests of the young people, but the focus will always be on staying active, building confidence and enjoying sport in a safe, supportive environment.
