IMPORTANT INFO

Why choose Bonny Downs this summer? -We have a strong local reputation and track record of providing high-quality childcare. -Competitive fees without extra charges or surprises -A partnership approach to our relationships with parents -With a great team of trained staff, we are dedicated to creating a fun, exciting and inclusive environment for children to thrive. Additional Information (IMPORTANT): -Please make sure that your child has a packed lunch with them or there will be a tuck shop onsite where your child will be able to purchase additional snacks/drinks. -Please make sure your child is wearing sunscreen and comfortable clothing. -We have water filling stations available. PHONES AND RECORDING DEVICES We would strongly advise you not to send your child to scheme with their phone or any other recording device such as Meta glasses. However, if your child needs to bring a phone to scheme to use on their journey to and from scheme, we are asking you and your child to comply with the following when on site at our scheme: - On arrival, your child should give their phone to the leader on the sign in desk, who will bag it in a named bag. These phones will be kept in a locked safe until home time, in which it will be returned to your child as they leave the site. - If your child is seen on your phone at the scheme after registration, they will receive one warning to hand it in/put it away. - If you they do not comply and we see them with their phone out again, we will confiscate it- giving it back to them at home time. If they refuse to give up their phone, a parent will be called to collect them. - If your child returns to scheme after all three of the above steps have been taken and we still see them using their phone, we will be asking a parent to collect them and ask them not to return to scheme. - Please note that we can also not take responsibility for any stolen or lost phones should your child not want to leave their phone in the morning in our safe. Parents will have access to four phone numbers to call in an emergency/check on your child: Stacey- 07522 553926 Fen- 07449 877514 Carla- 07542 125476 Main office- 0208 586 7070 Children will of course be allowed to use one of our phones with our supervision to call parents if necessary. Our staff are also being asked to follow the same procedures and will endure the same consequences, should they not comply. Do note however, that Go Wild staff have access to the three BDCA registered mobile phones listed above as a means to play music and take photos of the children (who we have received consent for) If a child wishes for us to take a photo of them doing an activity that they would like passed onto their parent/carer- we can initiate that on one of the registered BDCA mobiles. We appreciate that we are enforcing harsher consequences than usual, however our focus is on making the scheme as enjoyable and safe as possible. Safeguarding concerns around phones take up the majority of the incidents we deal with at scheme and we want to limit this as much as possible.
