A summary
This is the place... where young people come together to train, play and level up their basketball skills in a positive space built on respect, teamwork and good vibes. Each session includes a mix of structured skill development such as dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive drills, alongside fun basketball games, small-sided matches and team challenges. These activities help players of build confidence, improve teamwork and decision-making, stay active and develop their real love for the game in a safe, supportive environment. These sessions are free for those young people on Free School Meals (FSM). those young people whio qualify for FSM have priority. There is a cost of £5 per session, for those who do not qualify.

The Urban Fitness Collective
Delivering Urbanised Sport and Lesiure
The Urban Fitness Collective (Tuf*C) is a youth-led, community-based service delivering peer-to-peer urbanised sport and leisure activities across Trafford. Based in Old Trafford, we currently have circa 25x young and qualified Tuf*C Coaches employed to deliver our commissioned programmes on a peer to peer basis to other young people. We also deliver a sports youth club each Saturday (4pm-7pm) in Stretford Lesiure Centre which is open for all young people, to participate in fun hogh energy sports. Our sole aim is to increase the opportunity for all young people to excel and achieve their full potential through sport and leisure.

Step onto the court and bring the energy! Our Basketball Skills Academy is where young people train hard, sharpen their skills, and play the game they love. With coaching, challenges and fast-paced games, players build confidence, teamwork and real court skills — all powered by good vibes and hoops only.
Learning aims
Aim 1
Skills Development Participants will improve their understanding and ability in core basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive positioning
Aim 2
Teamwork Participants will develop teamwork, communication and respect for others by working together in team-based activities, small-sided games and challenges.
Aim 3
Confidence and Game Awareness Participants will build confidence and develop a better understanding of basketball rules, tactics and decision-making during play situations
