Our Sunderland youth provision offers a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for neurodiverse young people and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Through a varied programme of youth-led activities, we provide opportunities for young people to build friendships, develop confidence, learn new skills and enjoy positive experiences in a supportive setting.

Our weekly programme includes creative arts and crafts, music sessions, gaming, life skills, social events and community-based experiences. Activities are shaped by the interests and aspirations of the young people, ensuring they have meaningful opportunities to influence the programme while developing independence, resilience and self-confidence.

Young people are supported by a skilled team of experienced youth workers and SEND practitioners who understand the diverse needs of those attending. Staff provide personalised support, adapting activities, communication methods and the environment to ensure every young person can participate fully. We work to create a space where young people feel safe, respected and valued, promoting positive relationships, emotional wellbeing, communication skills and social development.

Alongside delivering engaging activities, our staff build trusted relationships with young people and their families, providing ongoing guidance, advocacy and signposting to additional support where needed. By delivering consistent, high-quality youth work, our Sunderland provision helps reduce social isolation, increase confidence and empower neurodiverse young people to become active members of their communities.
