Autism Awerness - Children and Parents Groups

FAB Family Centre CIC

A summary
With support from the National Community Fund, we are proud to offer our Bridge to Belonging Project. This programme welcomes and supports autistic children and their parents or carers.
Our sessions offer children a safe and understanding place to build social and communication skills through fun, structured activities. These include turn-taking and conversation games, teamwork challenges, role-play, sensory activities, problem-solving games, and creative group tasks. Children can join in at their own pace, gain confidence, practise talking with others, and make friends.
Parents and carers also have a supportive space to focus on their own wellbeing. They can meet others, share experiences, feel less isolated, make new friends, and build a stronger support network in their community.
Children benefit by improving their social and communication skills, gaining confidence and self-esteem, making friends, practising teamwork and turn-taking, and feeling a stronger sense of belonging.
Parents and carers benefit from better wellbeing, less isolation, peer support, chances to share experiences and practical ideas, and stronger connections with families who understand what they are going through.
Bridge to Belonging brings families together, helps them form real connections, and makes sure both children and parents feel supported, included, and valued.
We are grateful to the National Community Fund for supporting this project and helping us create chances for autistic children and their families to connect, grow, and feel they belong.
I can also adjust this text to be more professional for a funding or listing website, or make it warmer and more engaging for parents.
