Our October 4 Day HAF holiday programme provides children and young people with a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment where they can learn, create, and thrive.

Through a wide range of creative activities including art, crafts, music, and hands-on projects, children are encouraged to explore their imagination, express themselves freely, and build confidence in their abilities. Our sessions are designed to be engaging, inclusive, and accessible, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

In addition to creative activities, we incorporate educational experiences and day trips that help bring learning to life. Depending on the programme, children may have the opportunity to visit museums, farms, beaches, heritage sites, nature reserves, and other local attractions. These experiences encourage curiosity, broaden horizons, and help children develop a greater understanding of the world around them.

Throughout the programme, children will develop valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, resilience, independence, and creative thinking. They will have opportunities to work collaboratively, try new experiences, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment.

We believe that creativity should have a lasting impact, which is why children will often take home a keepsake from the activities they have completed. Whether it's a piece of artwork, a handmade craft, a memory book, or a project they have created themselves, these items serve as a reminder of their achievements and the positive experiences they enjoyed during the programme.

Most importantly, children leave with more than just memories. They leave having made new friends, gained new skills, discovered new interests, and grown in confidence—feeling proud of what they have accomplished and excited about what they can achieve in the future

What We'll Be Doing This October

Our October HAF programme is all about giving children an unforgettable half-term filled with creativity, adventure, friendship and fun. We provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children can explore new interests, build confidence, learn new skills and create lasting memories.

From arts and crafts to games, wellbeing activities, sports, music and exciting trips, every day is carefully planned to keep children engaged, active and inspired.

A Typical Day

9:00am – Breakfast & Welcome
Children arrive and enjoy a healthy breakfast while settling in and catching up with friends.

9:30am – Icebreaker & Morning Welcome
Fun group activities help everyone feel included, build friendships and start the day with a smile.

10:00am – Creative or Themed Activity
Children take part in a hands-on activity which may include arts and crafts, music, STEM challenges, wellbeing activities or themed projects.

11:00am – Snack Break

11:15am – Free Play & Social Time
A chance for children to relax, play, explore and enjoy spending time with their friends.

11:45am – Sports, Games & Movement
Fun physical activities designed to encourage teamwork, confidence, healthy habits and plenty of laughter.

12:30pm – Lunch

1:00pm – Afternoon Craft Activity
Children enjoy another creative session where they can design, build, paint or make something special to take home.

2:00pm – Free Play, Choice Activities & Social Time
Children can choose from a variety of activities, spend time with friends or simply relax before the end of the day.

2:45pm – Reflection & Celebration
We finish each day by celebrating achievements, sharing highlights and reflecting on everything we've enjoyed together.

3:00pm – Home Time

Special October Adventures

As well as our daily activities, children will enjoy two exciting experiences during the programme.

Library Visit

We'll be visiting our local library, where children will discover the joy of reading through stories, interactive activities and a chance to explore everything the library has to offer. We hope this visit encourages a lifelong love of books and learning.

Surprise Outing

One of the highlights of the week will be our special surprise outing! While we're keeping the destination under wraps for now, children can look forward to a fun-filled experience that's sure to create lasting memories.

Full details, including travel arrangements and collection information, will be shared with parents and carers before each trip.

More Than Just a Holiday Club

Our aim is for every child to leave feeling happy, confident and proud of themselves. Throughout the programme they'll make new friends, develop valuable life skills, discover new interests and take home wonderful creations that remind them of their October adventures.
