A summary
Sow, Grow and Thrive Together Through hands on arts and crafts, the children will explore the wonders of the rainforest, learning about its animals, plants and habitats. They will work together to create a vibrant rainforest diorama, sew colourful animal characters, make their own animal plushes, and enjoy sensory activities such as animal themed sand art. Children will also get creative designing and tie dyeing T shirts, and they’ll make delicious allotment mixed fruit jam using the produce they have grown themselves, a tasty reminder of their hard work from the Easter hols. If your child loves being outdoors, digging for worms, exploring nature and getting Dirty, then LITTLE DIBBERS ALLOTMENT PLAY SCHEME is the perfect place for them to shine this summer. This summer we are offering a wide range of allotment adventures: sowing seeds, planting young seedlings and flowers, harvesting crops, and learning how to preserve what they’ve grown. Children will taste, cook and experiment with the fruits and vegetables they’ve nurtured from seed to plate — all while learning about healthy eating, nutrition and how food fuels our bodies. Alongside gardening, children will get creative as they learn about our environment, our planet, and how we can protect it. Through imaginative craft projects, storytelling and hands on exploration, they’ll build confidence, curiosity and a sense of pride in what they create. Our activities are designed for 4-11yr olds who are in receipt of Benefit Related Free School Meals (BRFSM). We provide free hot and cold meals, including breakfast, healthy lunches, plenty of fruit and veg snacks, and refreshments throughout the day. Most importantly, we offer a safe, secure and nurturing environment where your child can grow, thrive and make new friends while having unforgettable summer fun.

SOW, GROW AND THRIVE TOGETHER
Arch's Little Dibbers allotment play scheme is passionate about helping 4-11yr olds to learn and grow so they can achieve their full potential. We have created a fun and safe environment for children to sow, grow and thrive. We have over 20yrs experience of working with local primary school children. We have won 3 RHS certificates for growing and displaying plants and through external funding from LCC and MPAC we can now deliver fun growing activities to children in receipt of Benefitted Related Free School Meals (BRFSM). We offer a wide range of fun educational and well being activities -growing from seed and planting on, the history of food and food-miles, harvesting and preserving food, cooking and tasting the produce they have grown, giving the children a better understanding about why it is important to eat healthy. The children also take part in arts and crafts based around looking after our environment and the planet.
