Apple celebration day 2026

Come and join us for a Family afternoon at Dapdune Wharf Guildford as we celebrate the Autumn orchard harvest.

Enjoy some lunch or a snack in the National Trust's tea room which opens from 11am..
The children's play area and the bookshop will also be available during the session.

Then with support from Woking Sea Rangers and Surrey Forest School Association, children can take part in 'apple/autumn' related crafts, activities and games suitable for younger children, with some activities for teens.. You could try some apple printing, or make an apple banner; or you could make a dried fruit hanger. How about making a simple bird feeder; these are just some of the activities on offer.

Why not take part in our 'apple' toss game, and of course we need everyone to take part in our "apple of the season" survey where you can cast your vote on your favourite variety.

You will all be able to sample some apple juice and there will also be a chance to toast something yummy over a campfire - this however, will depend upon the current fire restrictions being lifted.

Open to all the family, and will take place around the wharf regardless of the weather, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Children will be able to take part in a number of crafts and activities around the wharf, which will be suitable for our younger visitors and some for older visitors, which is reflected in the ticket price.

This is an external provider activity and a ticket fee applies.
Advanced online bookings are discounted: Child £7, teens £5, adults £5.

Limited car parking is available at the wharf and car parking charges apply.
If you can share transport or make use of public transport that would be helpful.

In the event of the venue being closed due to adverse weather or river conditions, this event will be cancelled and a refund will be issued.
