Weekly Activities
Week 1 – Build a Bee Hotel
Children learn why bees are vital to our ecosystems, how pollination works, and how we can support local wildlife. They’ll design and build their own bee hotel to take home.
Week 2 – Water Filtering & Clean Water Systems
A practical look at how water moves through natural and man‑made systems. Children experiment with filtering materials to clean dirty water and explore why clean water matters globally.
Week 3 – Ocean in a Jar: Mini Ecosystems
Children create a beautiful “ocean in a jar” to understand food chains, habitats, and how ecosystems stay in balance.
Week 4 – Photosynthesis Leaf Experiment
A hands‑on investigation into how plants breathe and make their own food. Children test leaves, observe changes, and discover the science behind photosynthesis.
Week 5 – Oil Spill Clean‑Up Challenge
A powerful, practical experiment exploring the damaging effects of oil spills on nature. Children test different clean‑up methods and learn about environmental protection.
Week 6 – Build a Bug Hotel
A creative, nature‑friendly project where children design and build a bug hotel while learning about habitats, biodiversity, and the importance of mini‑beasts.
