A summary

During the programme children and young people will engage in a wide variety of both physical and educational activities in one of our dedicated activity spaces. Some of the activities available during the programme include; trampolining, gymnastics, football, dance, racket sports, arts and crafts and many more.

In addition to our in house sports and activities, we will also be providing attendees the opportunity to take part in some external delivery sessions at the centre including bubble football and many more exiting experiences to take part in.

During the programme we will ensure that all participants take part in at least 45 minutes of physical activity every day while developing new skills and friendships with children and young people of a similar age group.

In addition to an action packed day of fun activities and educational sessions, all participants will receive a free school standard meal as part of their day.

Additional Information

All activity and educational sessions will be lead by qualified coaches throughout the programme supported by our experienced group of young leaders and volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain ASCC's reputation in the community all year round.

All meals provided will be prepared and served in house by an external provider with over 20 years experience. All meals and snacks will be of the school meal standard ensuring that all nutritional values are met each day. Our food provider will ensure that all dietary requirements are met and children and young people are encouraged and not pressured into trying new foods.

What you'll need

Comfortable clothing and footwear - When taking part in trampolining all participants must wear socks while on the trampolines.

Water Bottle - ASCC have free water filling stations that all participants can access throughout the day with their reusable bottles.

Jackets - Weather permitting, some of our activities may take place in our outdoor areas and in the event of cold weather we want all participants to stay warm and dry.

Sun Protection - In the event of good weather, some sessions make take place outdoors. Please provided a labelled sun cream/sun protection for your child.

Anfield Sports And Community Centre

Based in the heart of Anfield, ASCC offer a wide range of activities open to the community throughout the year from multisport to homework clubs. Playing our role in supporting families within the community, ASCC offer free half term programmes to young people aged 5 -13. As part of our free of charge programmes, all participants will gain new skills and friendships through activity and play helping to build relationships within the community. Our team of experienced staff and partners work closely in brining new and exciting opportunities to the community, working closely with local schools and organisations we have a wide network of partners who assist in delivering a wide range of programmes to the community.

Confidence and Self-esteem - building new friendships and learning from new cultures.

Safety Awareness - learning the importance of being safe in you surroundings and learning what to do in the event of an emergency.

Promoting Healthy Eating - Educating the young people on the importance of healthy eating and physical activity and providing opportunities to try new foods and making the decision to take the healthier options.
