Amazing Futures Hangleton Summer Club 2026

Amazing Futures Easter Club returns for 2026 in a new venue, the new Weller Youth Centre in Knoll Park, Hangleton. There are 14 spaces available each day. Two spaces are for young people who need 1:1 support and 12 spaces are for young people who need 1:4 support. Dates and prices 2026 Tuesday 28th July 10 am – 4 pm Wednesday 29th July 10 am – 4 pm Thursday 30th July, 10 am – 4 pm Tuesday 4th August, 10 am – 4 pm Wednesday 5th August 10 am – 4 pm Thursday 6th August, 10 am – 4 pm The price for each six-hour day is £30, which has been set by Brighton & Hove City Council. You can choose to pay by Direct Payment or self-fund. We expect to be oversubscribed for 1:1 places, but want to ensure that we can reach as many young people as possible. We have set a booking limit of two sessions per individual out of the six sessions on offer. If demand is high for all sessions, we may need to restrict this further and decline one of your selected dates. If there are more places available, we can allocate you more than two days. The activities programme is based on young people and parent carer feedback to gently challenge participants to have fun, enjoy new experiences, make friends and socialise. Sessions will be delivered by the talented Amaze team and our activity partners. Activities will include cooking, group games, accessible sports with the Albion Foundation, dance with Parable Dance, quizzes and music workshops to be confirmed. We are afraid that we don’t have hoist provision at this venue. The building is also within a public park so we will need to ensure that young people are happy and safe to be in an open access venue. Places in the Amaze scheme will be allocated according to a range of factors, our aim being to achieve a balanced and workable group of young people in each daily session. To try to ensure fair access, each young person will be able to book two sessions. If we have more spaces available, we can offer you a third day. How to make a booking Bookings will open 10 am on date TBC. Please book a maximum of two days only and provide any other days you would like. Bookings will close on date TBC. After that, we will review all bookings received and consider the allocation of places possible within the scheme's capacity. We confirm bookings by end of day TBC. We will contact families directly to discuss a booking/gain further information on a young person’s needs if necessary. Where all 1:1 places have all been filled, but where 1:1 level support is needed for a young person to be able to attend the scheme, we will welcome and support young people attending with a PA / carer if this is an option for them. To foster independence and to create a 'youth friendly' environment, we encourage young people to come with a PA rather than a parent carer where possible. Ticket types: 1:1 self funded: for a young person who needs 1:1 support from Amaze staff, and you will pay the £30 fee 1:1 Direct Payment: for a young person who needs 1:1 support from Amaze staff, and you will pay by Direct Payment 1:1 own PA self funded : for a young person who will need 1:1 support and come with their own PA . You will pay £30 fee and then pay your PA separately 1:1 own PA Direct Payment: for a young person who will need 1:1 support and come with their own PA. You will pay by Direct Payment, and a separate fee for your PA. 1:4 Direct Payment/self funded: for a young person who requires 1:4 support ratio, within a group. There is a £30 contribution towards the costs of running the 6 hour session. This is payable online at the point in time at which a reservation is made, although payment won’t actually be taken until a place is confirmed. So you will only pay for bookings that become confirmed places. This price has been set by Brighton & Hove City Council. If you wish to book a place and pay the £30 contribution by Direct Payments, please select the ticket option ‘Pay by Direct Payments’. We can then send an invoice as and when your booking is confirmed which can be settled by Direct Payments. Where paying £30 is a barrier for a young person to attend the scheme, we also ask that you contact us directly to let us know and we will look into alternative options. Once a session booking has been confirmed, you can cancel on eequ, or by phone or email by 9 am on the day, to get a refund. If you do not get a place this time, we will add you to our waiting list in case of cancellations and contact you if a place becomes available. Snacks will be provided and young people will need to bring a packed lunch with them 1.15 - 2.15 pm : Freeflow games and activities 2 - 3 pm : External workshop 3.15 - 3.45 pm: group game, check in and goodbye 4 pm: home time Our team of youth workers on site will be trained to work with a variety of needs. We will be in contact with parent carers before the start of the scheme if needed, to ensure we fully understand a young person's needs. Staffing Hannah Churchill will be our supervisor for summer 2026 .. Our team of youth workers will be Arlo, Alfie, Jade, Francesca, Bruno, Frankie, Adam, Jake and Louisa. Senior managers onsite will be Ella Burns for week one and Sally Bourner for week two. It is a new building and may not appear on digital maps, but is located right next to Hangleton Bowls Club. There are two entrances to Knoll Park – either via the alleyway between 131-133 Stapley Road or the alleyway between 88 – 90 Rowan Ave. Follow the footpath past the Hangleton Bowls Club. Weller Youth Centre is next to the old bowling pavilion. You can also take the north path through Hove cemetery. Press the door buzzer to the left of the main entrance and wait to be let in. Travelling by bus The nearest bus stops are Maytree Walk and Old School Place both of which are a short walk from the building. There is free on-street parking in the roads around Knoll Park, including Stapley Road. Young people who are wheelchair users or with severe mobility issues can be dropped outside the building, but this is not available for general use.
