A summary
Amazing Futures Holiday Scheme offers a range of exciting and enriching activities at Community Base in central Brighton. There are 14 spaces available each day for young people with 1:4 support from staff. The Amazing Futures Brighton activities are designed for young people who require lower levels of support and who will be able to move safely between different locations during the day (such as the museum, park, etc.) Our activities and locations are wheelchair accessible. We cannot offer 1:1 staff support for these two weeks, but we can offer places for a young person to come with their own P.A. If your young person has more complex needs and requires personal care and would be better suited to being in a more accessible location with a quiet area and higher levels of support, we suggest that you instead book a place at our Hangleton summer Club instead. Please do get in touch for more details. For Summer 2026 we are offering the following sessions, all 10 am - 1 pm, with drop off and pick up at Community Base in Queens Road, Brighton. We will be doing a variety of trips and activities, such as a trip to Brighton Museum, picnics, outside and inside sports, and drama. The dates and activities planned so far are: Week 1: Tuesday 11th August: trip and workshop at Brighton Museum Wednesday 12th August: photography workshop at Community Base Thursday 13th August: central Brighton venue, activity TBC Week 2: Tuesday 18th August: Community Base, activity to be confirmed Wednesday 19th August: circus skills workshop at Community Base Thursday 20th August: Community Base plus park trip if weather is good The price for the 3 hour session is £15, which has been set by Brighton & Hove City Council. You can choose to pay by Direct Payment or self-fund. We expect to be oversubscribed but want to ensure that we can reach as many young people as possible. We have set a booking limit of 2 sessions per individual. If demand is high for all sessions, we may need to restrict this further and decline one of your selected dates. Sessions will be delivered by the Amaze youth worker team and our activity partners.

Further information
Amazing Futures Brighton Summer Club is for young people with SEND aged 14-25 in Brighton and Hove, with six days of fun activities. It runs 10 am - 1 pm starting and finishing at Community Base. The scheme offers 14 places per session in 1:4 staffing, including spaces for young people to come with their own PAs. To try to ensure fair access, each young person will be able to book two sessions in the six days. How to make a booking Ticket types: 1:1 own PA self funded : for a young person who will need 1:1 support and come with their own PA . You will pay £15 fee and then pay your PA separately 1:1 own PA Direct Payment: for a young person who will need 1:1 support and come with their own PA. You will pay by Direct Payment, and a separate fee for your PA. 1:4 Direct Payment/self funded: for a young person who requires 1:4 support ratio, within a group. There is a £15 contribution towards the costs of running the 3 hour session. This is payable online at the point in time at which a reservation is made, although payment won’t actually be taken until a place is confirmed. So you will only pay for bookings that become confirmed places. This price has been set by Brighton & Hove City Council. If you wish to book a place and pay the £15 contribution by Direct Payments, please select the ticket option ‘Pay by Direct Payments’. We can then send an invoice as and when your booking is confirmed which can be settled by Direct Payments. Where paying £15 is a barrier for a young person to attend the scheme, we also ask that you contact us directly to let us know and we will look into alternative options. Once a session booking has been confirmed, it is refundable if you cancel up to one hour before the session starts, by email or phone. If you do not get a place this time, we will add you to our waiting list in case of cancellations and contact you if a place becomes available. My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
