About your mentors
Altru Drama
Drama projects that make a difference
Altru Drama is a creative education organisation with 20 years’ experience in delivering drama performances, workshops and events with and for children and young people. The company was founded by Kate Cotterell, a former teacher and youth worker, and, as such, learning sits at the heart of the organisation. As a non-profit company, Altru exists to provide creative experiences for children and young people which support learning, development and social mobility. Our aim is to offer all children and young people the opportunity to learn in new, exciting and creative ways, to inspire and motivate them. We passionately believe in the value of drama and the arts, as tools which can help children and young people to develop their knowledge and skills as well as help them to find their voices, express their opinions, develop their world view and make positive and healthy choices.
Lily
Project Coordinator
I am responsible for the planning, administration, and day-to-day coordination of our creative arts camp. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for children to explore their creativity in a fun, supportive environment, especially during the school holidays. It’s a privilege to help bring this vibrant project to life and contribute to making a positive impact in our community.

Attending
Children can attend for the whole summer or just for one day (or days here and there! - the choice is yours!) Each week the children will work towards a short, sharing performance on the final Thursday afternoon. All children attending on the Thursday will be involved. This is very low pressure - it's simply a sharing of some of the activities they've been doing during the week to share the fun with parents / carers.
Learning aim
Aim 1
Children will learn a range of skills including performance, movement, music, physical theatre, yoga, dance, improvisation, arts & crafts, creativity, team work & more!
More info
We recommend that children wear comfortable clothing and we ask that children bring a refillable water bottle. St Margaret Mary's School is a safe site and gates are locked at all times. To enter, press the gate button or call the mobile number on the gate. You can park on site for drop off. All children aged 7 - 11 are welcome.
