What we'll do
We meet children from their classrooms and walk to the woods attached to Horton St. Michael's together. Once in the woods children are welcomed and we explain how we will spend time in the forest, including taking care of ourselves, others and the environment. A simple snack is provided. Play, exploration, nature connection and crafting is facilitated by our team of Practitioners. The session ends at 5pm, with parents/carers welcomed to the forest to collect children. There is plenty of shelter in the woods and we use school for toilets and handwashing.

About your mentors
Greenwood Growth CIC
Immerse, discover, connect in nature.
We work in community woodland offering compassionate support to people focused on connection to self, others and a belonging to the natural world. Over half the population lives within six miles of a forest or small woodland and we think most people don’t visit them at all, or just pass through. Greenwood Growth makes your local space fun, safe and inviting places to spend time. We want to get you amongst the trees to begin exploring and to feel the positive effect on health and well-being for yourself.
