What we'll do
We'll do the activities listed below with a break for lunch. Thursday 23 July - skiing and orienteering Friday 24 July - snowboarding and kayaking in the pool Monday 27 July - rock climbing and bush craft Tuesday 28 July - archery and leap of faith Thursday 30 July - water sports day at the lake: kayaking and Mega SUP Monday 3 August - rock climbing and orienteering Tuesday 4 August - bush craft and low ropes course Wednesday 5 August - skiing and leap of faith Thursday 6 August - high ropes course and kayaking in the pool Friday 7 August - snowboarding and archery Monday 10 August - high ropes and bush craft Tuesday 11 August - Harrisons Rocks scrambling and rock climbing Wednesday 12 August - archery and low ropes course Thursday 13 August - Jacobs Ladder and orienteering Friday 14 August - raft building in the pool and skiing We will go sledging every day after lunch so please make sure you have long sleeves and trousers and bring gloves with you. Dress for the weather and wear trainers - no flip flops or Crocs please. Water sports day - you'll need a complete change of clothes including a pair of trainers that can get wet. Flip flops or crocs can't be worn in the water. On skiing and snowboarding days you'll need long sleeves and trousers as well as gloves. Pool activities need normal swimming gear and a towel. We'll provide a cooked lunch every day except for water sports days when we'll provide a packed lunch. ***This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Fully funded places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***

Bowles has a team of instructors who will be leading activities during the school holidays. They are all have specialist qualifications and experience of working with children.

Things they'll need
We will be outside all day every day in all weathers. Please bring suitable clothes and waterproofs. Long trousers, long sleeves and gloves are important to take part in some activities. We will provide lunch, but you'll need to bring a water bottle with you. We plan to go sledging on our dry slopes every day so children will need to bring gloves, long sleeves and trousers every day. The same things are needed for skiing and snowboarding. For water sports days kids will need a FULL change of clothes, including a pair of trainers that can be work in the lake - flip flops and crocs aren't appropriate for that environment.

These activity days are suitable for children in years 4, 5 and 6. While our instructors are experienced at working with a wide range of children, our activities aren't suitable for some children with SEND.
