Summer Movement & Gymnastics Club
Our Summer Club offers a gentle, supportive programme of gymnastics-based movement, calm games, simple obstacle pathways, and cooperative team activities in a safe and welcoming environment designed for children attending school from reception to year 7.
Sessions focus on building confidence, balance, coordination, strength, and body awareness in a way that feels comfortable and enjoyable for every child. Children are invited to explore floor movement, low beams, soft vaulting shapes, and basic apparatus — with no pressure to perform and plenty of time to practise at their own pace.
Activities follow clear, predictable routines with visual demonstrations and step-by-step guidance. Children can choose how they take part — whether completing a full activity, trying part of a skill, watching first, or taking regular breaks. Calm spaces and quieter options are always available for children who may need time to reset.
Alongside movement sessions, children can enjoy quiet, creative summer-themed activities such as colouring, arts and crafts, nature-inspired projects, and hands-on tasks designed to support focus and relaxation. These provide a reassuring alternative for children who prefer lower-sensory experiences.
Throughout the programme, children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and social skills while enjoying a positive and inclusive environment. Our Summer Movement & Gymnastics Club provides a fun and supportive opportunity for children to stay active, make friends, learn new skills, and enjoy the summer holidays at their own pace..

A free hot lunch is provided each day, with familiar options such as pasta, jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, and mild curries, alongside healthy snacks. Food routines are flexible, with support available for sensory preferences and dietary requirements.
Our staff work closely with parents and carers to understand each child’s individual needs, strengths, communication styles, and triggers. We carefully consider medical needs, allergies, mobility support, sensory sensitivities, and emotional regulation needs. Activities are adapted where required using softer mats, lower equipment, simplified movements, reduced group sizes, tactile markers, visual timetables, and picture cards.
Please be aware: The SEND provision will run alongside the universal gymnastics club at LS Gymnastics. Children attending the SEND provision will not be in a separate space. SEND children will be supported by experienced staff, providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment while still benefiting from being part of the wider holiday club.
An inclusive and supportive experience where every child can move, explore, and grow with confidence.
