A summary
Beginner Adult Contemporary Dance Classes Our Contemporary Technique Classes are perfect for adults looking to explore dance in a fun, welcoming environment. Whether you're completely new to dance or returning after a break, these 1-hour sessions focus on building confidence, coordination, and movement quality through accessible contemporary dance sequences. You’ll work on strength, flexibility, and flow, all while enjoying the creative and expressive side of contemporary dance. Expect to spin, jump, and move with freedom — leaving each class feeling energised, accomplished, and smiling. Step away from the stress of daily life and join us for a session that’s as much about joy and movement as it is about technique.

About your mentor
AJ
Company Director
AJ is a warm character who enjoys seeing people find their purpose. He's the driving force behind the company and loves to see people participating in any movement-based sessions. He's a keen creative, whether it's developing new movements, project ideas or themes of choreography! He will be a huge fan of anybody who is authentically themselves and is brave with trying new things. Come and join a session to witness this support in person.
What shall I wear..
What Should I Wear? Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. While we’ll get moving fairly quickly, the studio can sometimes feel a little cool at the start or during slower sections of class, so bringing a hoodie or jumper is a good idea. We recommend avoiding your best clothes, as contemporary dance often involves floor work like rolling, sliding, and travelling across different surfaces, which can cause some wear and tear. Footwear: We dance barefoot or in socks — whichever you prefer and feel safe in. No specialist footwear is needed.
