HAF listings are only for children who receive benefit related free school meals .
South Gloucestershire Playscheme was started in 1998. It was set up as a community organisation and has been known as 'Four Towns Play Association' and '5 Alive'. In 2021, we changed our name and became a registered charity.
The scheme started by running free playschemes for children aged 5-11 in the school summer holidays only. Now we deliver in Patchway, Stoke Gifford/Little Stoke, Bradley Stoke, Yate and Kingswood. We have expanded our offer to include the Easter and Christmas school holidays for children, and we run whole family activity sessions across all school holidays.
Since 2021, we have grown and we are pleased to say that we also now also provide the Cygnet Parenting Support Programme in South Gloucestershire and NOCN accredited Youth Work qualifications across South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset, BANES and Somerset.
