What we'll do
Join two days of fun workshops, with Kirsty Tallent, professional theatre maker and storyteller, who encourages everyone to take part and tell their stories whilst having fun. For example, take part in drama games, learn confidence skills and create a 10-15 min play. The group will decide the themes and how the play will be made. If you don't want to perform you can still take part as a director, writer, stage manager or designer. Food will be provided by the Temple Angels and with full support from the Eastern Angles Team.

About your mentor
Eastern Angles
"We are theatre that gets out there!"
Eastern Angles is a regionally focussed theatre company with a broad world view in our approach to creating work with community groups and artists in East Anglia. Our productions are ambitious, dynamic and a good night out. We aspire to be Radically Hospitable. We aim to put extraordinary effort and emphasis on making people feel welcome. We seek to remove barriers that prevent people from participating in the shared experience of arts, heritage and culture. We are proud and committed to rural community touring and to enhancing the engagement and infrastructure of culture in the East of England. We have a passion for supporting children, young people and our intergenerational audience to achieve their creative potential and ensure access to high-quality cultural experiences are available in the places we live or where we go to school.
What to expect
Children will take part in movement based performance, using improvisation, imagination and having fun. This is how we will create the scenes for the play. Children will improve their coordination, confidence, concentration, and the ability to problem solve, moment by moment. Movement and voice techniques are learned, with the final opportunity to perform to each other and to an invited outside audience. Children will take part in mindfulness breaks as part of the workshops, to promote well being, confidence and self esteem. Food is provided, and will be healthy and vegetarian. Healthy snacks will also be available for break times.
