Over the next two months, we will research and discuss different threads of current world events. For the first session, I will be offering a list of topics for the students to research and from thereon the students will be responsible for researching and bringing to the lesson news items related to this thread. During these lessons, we will consider how the item was reported and the students will be encouraged to think critically about news sources as well as the content. We will be covering topical issues such as 'fake news' and polarisation.
