What we'll do
We will support disabled and vulnerable children and young people to stay active by providing inclusive sport and physical activity sessions. We will also offer a range of fun and accessible enrichment activities, including sports and play sessions, arts and crafts, music, healthy living, outings, games and friendship groups that promote inclusion / friendship-forming, understanding and confidence-building. Using reverse inclusion, activities are designed with disability in mind and then non-disabled included, such as blind football where everyone is blindfolded and the ball contains a rattle, enabling visually impaired and sighted people to play together on a level playing field. A wide range of available activities will ensure something for everyone, while our ethos of, ‘Make them laugh and they will listen, make them listen and they will learn,’ ensures activities are fun, encouraging participation and friendships. Please note that children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult
