A summary
Granby Somali Women’s Group (GSWG) will deliver a four-day Easter 2026 HAF Holiday Programme for children and young people aged 6–15 years. The programme will provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can enjoy a range of fun, creative, and active activities during the Easter half term. Activities will include Easter-themed arts and crafts, such as decorating Easter eggs, painting decorations, and helping to design an Easter egg hunt. Children will also take part in games, sports, and active play, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and physical activity. Each child attending will receive a free nutritious lunch and snack every day to support healthy lifestyles and keep children energised throughout the programme. One of the most valued parts of the scheme is the opportunity for children to meet new friends, build confidence, and develop social skills in a positive, inclusive environment. Our experienced and friendly staff are dedicated to ensuring every child feels welcome, supported, and safe. This scheme is completely free of charge and is funded to support children who receive benefits-related Free School Meals..

About your mentor
Granby Somali Women's Group
For the community
Granby Somali Women’s Group (GSWG) is a front-line organisation working directly with women, children and families from the BME Communities residing in Liverpool. The organisation has built a strong reputation by aiding hard to reach groups and one of the main aims of GSWG is to increase access to mainstream services for women and families from the Somali and BME Communities located in Liverpool. Our organisation is based on equality for all and after being based in Liverpool 8 for over 25 years we have found that residents in the area, particularly those from the BME community are unequal to their counterparts in regards of access to Public services, jobs, health and education. Our aim is to reduce the barriers they face and to give the skills and knowledge needed to beat the cycle of poverty and inequality.
