A SUMMARY
During these individually tailored online sessions, I will support you to record and produce a track, help you find your musical voice and facilitate you in the use of technology to create a recording you are proud of. During these sessions, we will talk about the many kinds of technological advances over the last 10 years that have transformed the way we not only produce, but listen and work with music. Spotify, Soundcloud and YouTube allow us to listen to a wide variety of styles and genres of music anywhere, at any time. Musicians can upload music in a click of a button and have people listen to their songs from all over the world without the need for a distributor or record label. The availability of these technologies finally takes music out of the hands of record labels and into the hands of the musicians if they know how to promote themselves. We will also look at different digital software which has been a big game-changer, allowing musicians of all abilities to write, record and produce their own songs to a reasonable quality. These sessions are also available for adults learners at every level of experience and expertise. Please message to discuss. I also offer piano tuition, please search for my separate piano listing. I will email you a Google Hangout link after your booking is confirmed.
About your mentor
Max Mezzowave
Music producer and skill sharer
Once upon a time I left school at 16 and wanted more than anything to make music. All that was on offer in the early 80s was classical. The powers that be told me I could join a Youth Opportunities scheme if I could find one. I could'nt, so I made my way to a studio in Birmingham where I met Aswad's producer. I was told they wouldnt be able to offer me official help so I signed on and went there every day to learn as much about studio life as I could. I also joined bands and began to find my path as a musician. I’ve now worked in the music industry for over 25yrs, mainly composing and producing music for BBC, Channel 4, Film4, Top Gear, Formula 1, Google, The Big Chill, Mute Records ( Moby, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp), Sony Computer Entertainment I have 2 album releases and have done many live shows. I’ve been sharing my experience and enabling people of all ages in the skills of Piano/Keyboard, composition, music production, music technology and band skills privately and in workshops for over 15yrs.
