What we'll do
We will meet locally at Redcliffe Hub (BS1 6TB) at 10am and walk over to We The Curious. We will leave at 2pm aiming to return by 2.30pm. One of the UK's leading science museums is on our doorstep in Redcliffe. We The Curious is an idea and a place for everyone. We're all about asking questions, getting creative and testing things out. Science is collaborative, living and a vital part of culture. What if? How? Why? are found at the start of many adventures.... It is a bit like an indoor festival, with all sorts of different experiences, where you can interact with exhibits and take part in experiments. It’s where boundaries are removed between science, art, people and ideas.
About your mentors
St Mary Redcliffe PCC (Redcliffe Hub)
Shaping Redcliffe with Redcliffe
Redcliffe Hub's Strategy outlines our overall objective to create a community where people living in Redcliffe believe that they can shape the environment around them. To achieve this, we aim: • For people in Redcliffe to have a sense of ownership, belonging and safety. • Where there is a local culture of people connecting with each other and having a sense of connection to the area. • For SMR to ‘lead from the back’, encouraging and supporting local people to create the environment they want. Our support for children and young people currently includes a weekly youth group, sports projects, an after-school tuition programme, play sessions for asylum seekers and activities throughout the school holidays. Our approach is to deliver youth services in spaces and places familiar to children and young people in Redcliffe, were they feel a sense of safety and belonging. All our projects involve people from Redcliffe in the planning and delivery so that children and young people build long-term trusted community-based relationships with adults and peers that are easily accessible and relatable to them.
We the Curious
Science Centre on Bristol Harbourside
We’re a hands-on science centre located on Bristol Harbourside. We have lots of different experiences across 2 floors. Over 200 exhibits you can touch and play with, as well as experiments you can take part in and shows that you can see in our kitchen, studio, tinkering spaces and Open City Lab – where you can take part in real scientific research. You can explore food and plants in our North Gallery, question the world around you in our newest exhibition ‘Project What If’ and head upstairs to our Animate it! area to make your own stop motion film. There is something here for all ages, from toddlers to adults! We love you to touch exhibits, laugh with your friends, ask questions. You don’t have to be super quiet and we’re on hand to help you have a great time! No silly questions here.

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
