A summary
This class is for all Hastings and St Leonards residents. Suitable for men (18+) who are not currently active and would like to kickstart a new routine. No experience necessary. Tired of trying to keep up with the kids, grandchildren or mates? Then why not come along to our new non-judgemental friendly Men’s Fitness: Strength and Conditioning session. A circuit style session, that focuses on body weight strength training. Suitable for all levels of fitness and abilities. Don't worry if you haven't exercised for a long time, all exercises have adaptions or alternatives, hard and easy options available. This class is run in partnership with the HVA Mr Hastings and St Leonards men’s project. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
