Come along with your 3-5 year old and join in a fun, hands on cooking class for children in a relaxed home environment, creating dishes to be enjoyed both at the class and to take home. Even if your childs' cooking experience has been limited (or even yours!), you will be in for a surprise when you see what they can actually create! The class costs £17 FOR A CHILD AND GUARDIAN TOGETHER, which includes all of the ingredients used. Just bring some containers to take some of your treats home in! Classes are kept small, with up to 4 children and guardian, so that the children can get the attention they need and deserve. Lisa James·Cooking for fun with Little Wren
I have always enjoyed crafts and creating things. I have been crafting and cooking since I was a little girl, helping my Nanna and having fun experimenting in my Mum’s kitchen. I have passed this love on to my daughter and many other children now. I love being around people, especially children, and helping them to discover their creative talents. I love telling lame jokes (think Christmas cracker style) and adore being around nature (though have an issue with slugs and snakes!). Having grown up in Australia I relish in the wide-open spaces of nature, but totally fell in love with the beautiful countryside that we live around here in Sussex. I feel very lucky to be able to combine what I love with what I do.

Learning aims

To enjoy preparing food, discovering different ingredients and tasting different foods. We will prepare two dishes to be enjoyed either at the class or to take home.

Strengths to develop

The cooking classes are very hands-on. The children are preparing and making almost every aspect of the food, using physical co-ordination, strength, dexterity and gentleness where needed. By being so hands on, children get to know what different ingredients and combinations of ingredients should feel like and are more likely to remember and want to try again.
