A summary

Over this writing experience you will get to come up with your own idea and write it while being mentored by published author J.L. Oakman (Jason Eichner.) You will then be walked through editing the piece to be read by others, before finally getting your short story published in a mini-anthology with all the members of the group.

The group will work on a name and general design together. This book will be available from Amazon and can be shown off however you wish!

Included in this course is a free copy of the final book for you to take home at the end.

Throughout this course you will learn free creativity in writing, coming up with a story idea from a unique prompt if you need it, editing your work, and you'll receive writing advice and mentoring from J.L. Oakman.

If the dates that would work best for you aren't listed, please click on the button to contact me and we can work out either 1-to-1 sessions or new course dates.

(Note - by signing your child up for this course, you consent to their short story being included in the anthology, though if you feel it must be excluded we can of course discuss this. Your child will retain all rights to their work beyond first publishing rights, and their name can be anonymised to any degree if you/they wish.)

About your mentor

Jason Eichner

A creative writing and IT educator!

Jason Eichner

I am J.L. Oakman (Jason Eichner outside of writing.) I have been writing stories since before I could even write; one of my earliest memories is of myself as a toddler narrating stories to my big sister to write down. Since then, I have attained a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in English, and a Master's Degree with Merit in Creative Writing; both of these qualifications were distance/learn-at-home degrees. I have been both regularly published and self published; recent books being: The Clocks Have Stopped (2016) The Hollow Traveller (2017) Visions of the End (2018) Much of my writing is also included on my website, Fort Knight's Tale, where I post short stories and poetry regularly.
