About your mentor
Active Future Wolverhampton
Instilling a Love of Movement for Life
Active Future has been established to instil a love of movement and increasing the likelihood of lifelong participation. The delivery of movement activities must be around the needs of the person and not the needs of those delivering. We are all individuals!!! The notion that sport and movement is a one size fits all idea that is designed by adults for the needs of adults is simply wrong. We aim to move away from this approach and focus on the needs of the individual and provide the environment that meets this need.

Learning aim
Aim 1
Our aim is for the children to have fun, try new sports, activities and foods. Create happy memories with friends or make new friends along the way.
Leadership Awards
The Active Future Leadership Awards are ideal for 12+ year olds who have an interest in sport or activity instruction and would like a positive experience to help them on their way. The Awards give young people first-hand experience of coaching and leadership skills through a combination of theory exercises and practical on-course experiences. As part of the awards, Leaders will complete workbooks and deliver a variety of sessions, starting with warm-ups and lunch activities, building up to eventually leading their own planned sessions, all with the help and under the supervision of their on-site mentor. We require a minimum commitment of the following days to be able to complete each level: • Bronze - 3 Days • Silver - 5 Days • Gold - 10 Days Please email AFWolverhampton@activefuture.info if you would like more information about suitability of your child to take part and what's involved.

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else. Our refunds policy: • You have the right to a full refund if you decide to cancel within 48 hours of completing your booking. • When you cancel a camp booked with us after the 48 hours has expired: (a) If this is done any time after the Booking Confirmation is sent and before the date two weeks prior to the first day of the camp, detailed in the Booking Confirmation, we will refund the price of the camp minus a 10% cancellation fee; or (b) If this is done at any time within two weeks of the first day of camp detailed in the Booking Confirmation, no refund will be offered; or (c) If this is done for a camp that is already running, no refund will be offered. • In all circumstances, we will initially offer a full credit note in place of the booking, which is then valid for 12 months after the original camp dates are booked. • If you cancel individual days which were booked as part of a full camp booking, we will recalculate the price of the remaining days based on the daily rate, and this will be reflected in any refund due to you. • If you cannot attend camp due to medical reasons, upon receipt of a valid medical note, we will offer you a credit for the duration of the camp to be used within 12 months of your original booking. We will process any refund due to you as soon as possible onto the original payment method and, in any event, within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
