A summary
At South Brockwells Farm School we provide a mini farmers club for children to learn about the vital role of farming in our lives, develop their understanding of where food comes from, the work and skills required to care for animals and essential, transferable life skills. We shall be learning how to work with and care for our animals on the farm that includes 60 sheep, 50 Pygmy goats, lambs, pigs, Donkeys, chickens, ducks and ponies! Working in small groups, children will have the opportunity to work with and care for a range of our animals throughout Mini Farmer days. *** This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Free places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***
