This beginners guide will include an overview of how to ferment: - Water Kefir - Milk Kefir - Kombucha - Sauerkraut - Kimchi I will teach you about the starter culture, the SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). About your Mentor
I have had a career as a high school Chemistry teacher; but am now pursuing the 'scientific art' of fermentation, having developed by own brand of live, vegan, water kefir which I make in small batches from my kitchen in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. This is available in markets and festivals across Sussex. I am passionate about probiotics and gut health and regularly give educational talks and workshops on fermentation and the benefits of having a healthy microbiome.
