Join us at Felixstowe Library for a variety of creative workshops this summer holidays for 10-16 year olds! Workshops are 9:45am - 3:30pm and include lunch, drinks and snacks. Free places are available for those eligible for benefit related free school meals. Unsure if you’re eligible? For guidance visit www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals. Library: Felixstowe Library, Crescent Road, Town Centre, Felixstowe IP11 7BY 8 August: Photography manipulation workshop 15 August: Experimental printmaking workshop Workshop details: Friday 8 August 2025 09:45-15:30 Photo Manipulation & Gelli Printing with Gillian Allard You will be taking photographs on iPads and then developing them into colourful, multi-layered images using this very accessible, fun, hands-on printing process. Finally, we will frame our favourite print to take home. Please do not wear your best clothes, print processes can be messy. Friday 15 August 2025 09:45- 15:30 Experimental eco-printmaking workshop with Holly Scholfield Spend a day exploring exciting printmaking processes. We will begin making fast and experimental mono-prints and then in contrast create beautiful drypoint etchings using environmentally friendly materials. This workshop will develop your drawing skills, help to understand composition and sharpen your eye! We will briefly look at the history of printmaking whilst exploring these traditional printing techniques, the tools, the inks, the press and the whole process from start to finish! Participants will go home with their own unique prints.

Holly Scholfield
Experienced Artist specialising in print
I am a freelance artist, designer and teacher. My expertise lies in printmaking, drawing and textiles, with a particular interest in pattern, chaos, embellishment and costume. I love to draw in museums and the natural world to inspire new work. I trained at Central St Martins in Fine Art and then completed an MA at NUA specialising in print and textiles. I regularly exhibits my work, have shown in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and illustrate for publications.
Gillian Alllard
A photographer
I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge. I have a broad range of skills in photography from film to digital disciplines and other more experimental techniques. I am a qualified teacher and have a full DBS.
