What we'll do
Welcome to Bonny Downs Youth Theatre! PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE- Each week Scarlett and a member of the BDCA Children & Families team will lead your child through games that help to build confidence and have fun! We'll explore different drama techniques together through the element of play and are really looking forward to all the friendships that will be made! SECONDARY SCHOOL AGE- Each week Scarlett will teach you techniques for the stage and screen. You'll be able to explore script writing, how to work a camera and will have the chance to produce a peice to raise your voice about the things you are passionate about. (Bursaries available for this age group in collaboration with Newham Thriving Communities- email families@bonnydowns.org to ask more) Please ensure your child attends each session in their Bonny Downs Youth theatre t-shirt (Free when registering) and comfortable shoes and leggings/jeans/joggers. They should also bring a refillable water bottle with them. You'll need to pay for sessions each term in advance and we cannot refund any missed sessions. We will notify you when bookings open for the following term. All members of our team are DBS checked and have received full safeguarding training in the past 12 months. We will not allow your child to go home alone, nor with anyone who is not listed as an emergency contact. We're so excited to offer this fantastic new youth theatre for our community!
