A summary
We will take a look at different types of maps and their keys, contour lines and basic navigation techniques including the use of apps. Please download the free versions of OS maps (ordnance survey) and Komoot, also OS locate. If you have a compass please feel free to bring it with you. A pen and notepad will be needed. So if you'd like to gain some confidence in being able to navigate local areas without relying on a guide, book onto this entry level navigation course. Refreshments will be provided. We will meet at the sailing club car park at Hollingworth lake. I will send out further details closer to the day of the course.
