A summary
A 6 week course to teach parents and children around nutrition, wellness and a healthy lifestyle. This will include, happy meal times, peaceful sleep, oral care, snack making, movement, mindful screen times and overcoming challenges. Much of the learning will be carried out through play so the children can have fun as well as learning and sharing the experiences with their parents, learning and growing together. Families will receive a recipe box on week 4. We look forward to seeing you there. NB: If your child is aged between 18 months and 2 years, please ensure you enter a DOB for them that would mean they are at least 2 years old, as the system won't accept bookings for children with a DOB between 18 months and 2 years.
About your mentor
Salford Council Health Improvement Service
Improving the health of our community
Salford’s Health Improvement Service has been serving the residents and communities of Salford since 2004. We have a proven track record of supporting, working, and engaging with our residents to improve their health and wellbeing. We are proud and committed to helping our residents make small – or big – changes to their lifestyle that can reduce the chances of becoming ill from conditions such as heart disease, stroke and cancer, now and in the future. We believe it makes sense to try to prevent these conditions from ever happening, rather than cure them further down the line. Wherever you live in Salford, we can provide one to one tailored support, and group-based activities within your local community to help you improve your health and wellbeing. We also specialise in supporting our residents socially and emotionally via our diverse special interest groups. If you think there is a need for a group we’re not already offering, we’d love to know and support in setting one up.
