A SUMMARY
Come and immerse yourself in the shared joy of singing. A chance to learn simple, beautiful, delightful, moving songs, part songs and rounds; easy to learn and a pleasure to sing. This group is not a formal choir, there will be no written score, rarely any written words, just our collective immersion in the melodies and harmonies that we'll bring alive with our voices. The songs are suitable for all ages and any musical ability. They express and explore the wonderful spectrum of human thoughts and feelings, giving voice to our inner landscapes. The fundamental purpose of this singing is to revel in ourselves as instruments and to discover and enjoy our own voices.

When your mentor provides a strapline it will go here
I have always loved singing with others and revelled in the beautiful sounds we can make together that we could never make alone! I have been teaching songs for about 10 years, and have explored and developed my ability to teach a wide range of abilities and ages without the need for anything written down. The joy of creating a beautiful sound together, of hearing the unique qualities of each person's voice and seeing them all coming together in harmony is a source of delight and wonder to me. I have observed many times the feelings of freedom and expansiveness that people encounter in themselves when they sing and know it to be profoundly healthy and nourishing. I currently facilitate three choirs/singing groups, each with a different focus; folk songs, shanties, and rounds and part songs from around the world. I have taught songs as part of three different Heritage Lottery funded projects, I have worked with ICOMOS (The International Council on Monuments and Sites) on their pilot projects exploring ICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage) and have developed my findings and work at a number of different workshops. I have worked with adults and children of all ages. I am a Natural Voice Practitioner and member.
