A SUMMARY
During this small group workshop, you will create your own unique textural, circular weaving. Enjoy learning to weave on a simple wooden frame. Create a beautiful decorative piece for the wall or table using natural yarns in a range of colours This workshop is a great introduction to weaving for complete beginners and as a second step for those with some weaving experience. I will teach you plain weaving, knotting and 'soumak' technique . You will also look at a variety of ways to finish off your weaving, including fringing. Weaving materials and equipment are provided. Different yarns and materials will be available to experiment with. It would be helpful if you could bring your own small scissors. You may also want to bring your own yarns etc. to include in the weave. Materials and equipment are also available to purchase if you wish to continue weaving at home.
