What we'll do
Half price trials available This weekly full day forest school group allows for a deeper connection to the land and peer group. Each day will be structured the same providing a safe background rhythm to the individual learning journeys. 10.30 arrival and welcome 10.45-11 Sharing circle/check in 11-12.30 Weekly themed nature learning sessions following Exploring Nature with Children curriculum. 12.30-1.30 Foraging, cooking and enjoying eating of lunch! 1.30-3 Forest school freedom for individual Exploration, games and projects such as whittling, fire making , den building , tree house building and other child led projects. 3-3.15 Sharing, setting plans for next week , checking materials /tools needed, check out 3.15-3.30 collect belongings, goodbyes and home time. Nothing is compulsory other than the morning check in, lunch and afternoon check out. All participants are strongly encouraged to be part of these. The woods in which we explore and learn do not have a physical boundary, the boundaries are set each week depending on our activities. This means that only pupils who are able to respect these boundaries are able to safely attend. Groups will be guided by myself, Anne and Becky. Both trained forest school leaders.

I love being out in nature and always find myself satisfyingly tired at the end of a day in the woods. I'm keen to encourage everyone to enjoy outdoor fun and like showing parents how to facilitate individual and independent exploration giving them confidence to support their children. I enjoy incorporating my Steiner early years teaching background filled with songs, craft and story inspiration.
