What we'll do
We will firstly meet at 12.45 at Ogden reservoir car park on Ogden Lane OL16 3TQ, there is some street parking available too. We will hike from Ogden reservoir to Hollingworth Lake over the tops on a 6 mile walk, taking in some breathtaking scenery along the way. This will most likely be an all day event due to different walking abilities. Please ONLY bring children if they have the stamina and strength to do this walk as it's very long and has many uphill sections with rocky/muddy steep paths. Hiking shoes are necessary for everyone. Are you up for the challenge? If so, lace up your hiking boots, have your waterproofs ready (you never know when to expect a shower in the UK) and bring a packed lunch as we'll be out for a while :) I recommend flapjacks for slow releasing energy. I will provide brunch bars or similar, water bottles and hiking poles to borrow if needed. Get ready for a wonderful adventure! Disclaimer: please avoid making other plans directly after this walk as the timing is just a guide, we could be out until late evening depending on circumstances. Any under 16’s need to be accompanied by an adult.

I am mountain leader trained, a paddle-sports instructor, a cycling instructor, navigation instructor, bike leader and qualified walking leader. I absolutely love being in the outdoors and in my spare time I like to go mountain biking and sailing and rock climbing. I also love meeting new people and helping them to reach their fitness goals especially if it involves adventure :)
