A SUMMARY
This is a small group, self-directed art workshop, coached by a professional artist. Led by your own art project, within the group you will get one-to-one support targeted to your ability, working with technique, composition, layout and anything specific with which you'd like help. The project could be an on-going work, or you could attend as a one-off, or you might be interested in receiving feedback on a recent piece. The aim is to help you grow as an artist and to see and study from nature. Recent projects learners have completed include: portrait (human and animal), still-life, landscape, seascape, and illustration. Bring all your own art materials. I can also coach young people; please contact me to discuss arrangements.

When your mentor provides a strapline it will go here
I studied Art Foundation at Canterbury College and gained an Honours Degree in Art & Design at Brighton, specialising in Illustration in 1981. From 1982-2000 I enjoyed a career as an internationally published children's book illustrator and author with Harper Collins and Methuen, Holt Rheinhart & Winston NY and Carlton EU. Also I was featured in a series of craft publications with David & Charles publishers and numerous magazines articles. From 2000-2005 my career was a mixture of public and private sector work. Since 1995 I have been a regular contributor to The Brighton Festival creating street art events with schools and as an Artist Open House. Exhibitions include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. I have experience running an art gallery and coordinating exhibitions including 'The Art of Puppetry' at Hove Museum and Art Gallery in 2017 and I collaborate regularly with other artists and genres. Today I concentrate mainly on commissions in Pen & Ink, Watercolour, Acrylic and Oil Paints as a narrative Portrait Artist of people and their pet animals. And also Architectural House Portraits.
