A summary
We will discuss hot topics that are of interest to the group and learn how to research arguments for both sides.
Each team will have a week to prepare their argument and we will regroup to have a formal debate.
We will learn about debate etiquette and prepare to challenge local teams in due course.
Sometimes we will swop sides and learn killer skills of arguing from the opposite perspective.

I am a retired university lecturer. I was a senior lecturer in History at the University of Westminster, and Course Leader for the History BA. History is not about facts, it is about formulating arguments and defending positions. I have many years experience in this both as a researcher and as a teacher.
