Fermentation has hit the headlines recently due to the incredible health benefits of increasing the diversity of the body's friendly bacteria. But did you know that only handmade, artisan fermented products maintain their high levels of friendly gut bacteria? This four hour workshop will give you the skills and confidence to start fermenting in your own kitchen and give you the chance to sample lots of fermented produce. This beginners guide will include an overview of how to ferment: - Water Kefir - Milk Kefir - Kombucha - Sauerkraut - Kimchi I will teach you about the starter culture, the SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). And how it is slightly different for each fermented drink as is the fermentation process. You will learn about the 2 step ferment process of Water kefir and how it creates beneficial probiotics.
