A SUMMARY
This workshop is designed for people who would like to develop their knowledge, skills and techniques to enjoy a range of delicious, nutritious gluten-free breads. For many years our gluten-free customers who dine with us during our café opening times have commented on how delicious our GF breads, flatbreads & crackers are. Now you can enjoy them at home too! During the day we will make :- - An everyday seeded loaf (which makes fantastic toast too!) - An Italian focaccia using our in-house blend of GF flours - Flatbreads (great for enjoying pizza or fajitas) - Savoury scones/quick breads - Delicious crackers All the bread will be baked in our traditional wood-fired oven and conventional electric oven so you will know how to recreate easily the breads at home. I will teach you about the wide range and diversity of grass, nut & plant flours which will enable you to bake fantastically delicious, nutritious gluten-free breads which means you'll never have to buy supermarket bread (with all its artificial additives & preservatives) ever again! The price includes a homemade set gluten-free, 2-course lunch with wine, or soft drinks; and tea or fresh coffee and homemade gluten-free brownies during the breaks. Everything you need for the day is provided and you will take home all the bread that you have made together with the recipes and instructions. We will have a selection of our in-house Artisan Bakehouse gluten-free flour range available for separate purchase on the day. *If you would like to have a printable gift voucher for this course after booking, simply click on the Contact Mentor button and request one. We will then promptly send you an email with a printable voucher attached.
About your mentor
The Artisan Bakehouse
Horsebridge Common
This workshop is run by Artisan Bakehouse owner-manager and Head Chef Les. Les is Sussex born and bred. Originally from Brighton, he’s lived all his life in Sussex with the exception of an 8-year stay in rural south-west France. Here he developed his love of all things bread. After mastering the French language (that’s another story!) he went on to train and learn traditional artisan bread making skills and has developed a huge passion for making bread by traditional artisan methods. We support and are members of 'The Real Bread Campaign'. ---------------------- The Artisan Bakehouse is an independent family-owned and run business; the passion and vision of husband and wife team Les & Louise Nicholson. The Artisan Bakehouse comprises beautiful 16th-century cottages, pretty gardens & woodlands. Our vision has always been to embrace the tranquil location here and to create an experience where people can learn to make delicious bread & foods and to spend time enjoying local seasonal Sussex produce, relaxing and restoring themselves in this idyllic location. We look forward to meeting you personally and together with our friendly and dedicated team, will do all we can to make sure your time here is special and memorable. We fell in love with this magical place and never want to leave: we want you to feel the same too!
